Less restriction, free movement and comfortable is the priority in bed! I've searched everywhere, net and in stores.

i am sure they do, they are just not as popular anymore.........
cuz There UgLy DUH
When you say nightgowns, are you talking about the type of gowns that drop down to below the knee? I was previously the children's manager at a JC Penney store and I can tell you that they do have gowns there. I'm not sure what type of material you are looking for or the specifics, but they do have some there. If I find one the girl of my dreams will love me forever (you laugh?) She is very special and I will go anywhere to find what she wants. It must truly be a poet style, not ballet or something similar.

My favorite white nightshirt is from J. Peterman. Now, it doesn't have frilly sleeves if that's what you mean by "Poet's Nightshirt", but, it is a traditional high quality cotton, washes up quite nice, and is a dream to wear. Very ample, and perfect for curling up with a good book, a fire, and thee. It's called the Marie Antoinette Nightshirt. See link, below.punightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6498047196906668380.post-35832848453907037832009-04-02T10:13:00.000-07:002009-04-02T10:10:39.352-07:00My 8yo nephew really wants girls nightgowns for Xmas--hates boys PJs. His mom is fine with it. Should I?Ever heard of NOYB? In case you haven't it means its NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

umm im sure they make some sort of night gown for boys like in the olden days
its kinda weird that he wants girls pjs but if u cant find any for boys im sure that since its alright with his mother its not to bad maybe you can find ones that are all white or something
I know what you're thinking...
But if that's what he wants to do, he's going to do it now - or later in life.
If his Mom is ok with it...why should you fight it?
Well, I guess my answer would be this. If he doesn't like boys Jammie's, why not just sleep in underwear or just in a t shirt. I dont see why he would need the girls jammies. I think I would be a bit nervous.
I honestly think girl nightgowns are annoying for girls even. Your legs are not as free and comfortable as pjs and it's cold. Flannels are so warm and cozy!

Take him to a store (Sears, Walmart, Target, Gap, etc) and let him pick it out. I'm sure he'll pick something he really likes and maybe it's really not girl's gowns afterall. Maybe get a matching robe or something for him with pjs.

If you don't want to do that or buy the girl gowns, you could get him a robe and a tshirt and flannel pants instead of regular pjs.

All the best.
Its a tough call because you want the boy to be able to express himself. Just because he likes some girl things or girl colors doesn't necessarily mean he's gay. Especially because right now, he's not even thinking like that. And even if that were the case, you would still have to accept him for that as well. Theres nothing wrong with that. What about the girl pjs does he like so much? Is it the colors? The graphics? Who knows, you might buy him the girl pjs and when he's 16, he might laugh at himself for liking such things. You could also ask your sister to try to steer him in a different direction...is there any boy things that he likes a lot? Like pokemon or star wars? Anything in that nature that she could work with?

Good luck!
I know this really worries you, but if his mom is okay with it then you just have to let go of it. It's not your problem. If she's not bothered by it then you shouldn't be either.punightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6498047196906668380.post-51100685002363383502009-04-01T10:14:00.000-07:002009-04-01T10:11:16.629-07:00A girl in a white nightgown has a dream that a baby is playing with something bloody. She looks down and realizes in-between her legs on her white nightgown is a big bloody spot.
What movie is this?

I am giving a couple of guesses:

The Devil's Advocate
Rosemary's Baby
Nightmare on Elm Street (the one with Patricia Arquette)
i believe it's the devil's advocate.
I just watched a movie called Haunting Sarah where the mother had a was dreaming about a baby and when she awoke she was bleeding.
I saw that. (teen girls only please)?i just need to know for future reference

I think about mid thigh.
Just above the knee.
Nothing trashy but it looks really cute!
Usually right at the knee. If it's too long it looks like a granny nightgown.*
just get the little t-shirts with the matching panties even i sleep in those sometimes do not get a long night gown a 18 year old is almost a full blown woman you have to teach her how to wear underwear in a sexy but tasteful manner don't over due it a little above the knee .
Well I just turned 19 and there is no "length" for an 18 year old. At 18 you are an adult so you where whatever you want. now if you were 12,13,14 then maybe i could answer this question better. I have been wearing pretty much what i wanted without any arguments from my mom from like 15. I will say that personally i like the short linerie dresses like way above the knee. But those are really meant if somebody else is going to see them ( if you know what i mean) i just sleep in shorts and a tank or an oversized tee. your only going to sleep girl!
I'm pretty much 18, and I don't wear nightgowns.
I prefer boxers or sweat pants with a tanktop.
Unless its the summer then just cheeky panties with a long tank top pj set.
Just above the ankle.
Very classy and nice.
My teen daughter has always worn sleep short and a tank.
At 18 years old, a "girl" is an adult. She can wear whatever length nightgown she wishes!
Future REFERENCE is not why you are asking buddy..
teen girls tend not to wear nightgowns.
but check victorias secret pink section because they will have what you want.
an 18 year old is an adult and can wear what ever they want. and are you sure this question isn't for your self?

i usually just wear a t-shirt and some little boy shorts to bed. i dont know any one who wears a nightgown.
i know a girl turning 18 in april and hes go mid way down her thighs
My sister is about 18 or 19 she just wears cute undies and a little tank to bed. But if you feel more comfortable in a night gown I would probably say 5 or 6 inches above the knee...it will make your legs seem longer and its very appealingpunightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6498047196906668380.post-76928603734906552462009-03-24T03:54:00.000-07:002009-03-24T03:51:32.291-07:00How do you remove semen from a girls Polyester Nightgown?lol I don't want to go into details on how this happened, kind of a Christmas incident, any-who. I really like old fashion names that are now considered different.

Henry
Ashley (think Gone with the Wind)
Rhett (again Gone with the Wind)
Abraham
Emmett
Miles
Oliver
Charles
Arthur
Stanley
Winston
Samuel
Alexander
Thomas
Mitchell
Edward
Let's hear it for throwback names!

Here are a few - more at the link below:

Julius
Jasper
Clarence
Cyrus
Everett
Simeon
Hugo
Gideon
Jude

And my personal favorite of the moment, Ezra.

Best wishes!
My youngest son's name is NOLAN. After he was born (he's 5 now) there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of little old ladies who told me they had an uncle, grandpa, cousin, etc. named Nolan. If that's not old fashioned, I don't know what is! Good Luck!
We are going with Duncan. Its a lovely name we both like, but I've not heard it used as a name on a child in years. Other names I hear (but not often) are Peter, Alexander, Adam, Nicholas, and Jonathan.
If you are looking for an old name that is not common, try Harry or Henry. Those are good old names that are not used much. I prefer Henry I think it sounds strong. I also like Harland. Man I am stuck on the H's today.
Zack?

http://www.momrecommended.com/Baby_Names/Obscure_Baby_Boy_Names_From_The_1900s.shtml
Old names that are uncommon now....

Cyrus
Levon
Colin
Declan
Douglas
Eamon
Kenneth
Kiernan
Killian
Lochlan
Neil
Ronan
Rowan
Frank
Henry
Paul
Rory
Tiernan
Carter
Jonas
Wesley
Daniel. Serious answers only, please!
Thanks!

Seriously - STAY IN SCHOOL!!!!

Go to college too because the best thing you can do is learn the basics in fashion design and go from there. The classes are fun and you learn so much that can help. Such as types of fabrics, stitches, color palettes, etc.
Make clothes for your friends.
can't
I think you REALLY have to at least be determined and motivated. That can get you really far. But why do you want to be a fashion designer when you're that young? You have the whole rest of your life, enjoy it! :) It's not as simple as it may seem.
well you can start by becoming one in your head, you become what you really want, show people what you got, and if you're good they will let you know.
tell your parents you want to be a desighner and if your parents say then get good grades and be good in school it might happend then you have a chance of being a desighner or just make clothes for people who want clothes for your friends family and more people taht want clothes and you might be a famous desighner some day taht what my parents tell me
Call up your local stores and ask if they would fund a charity fashion show. Our local public library funded someone.

Give them examples of your outfits and a big long letter and such.punightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6498047196906668380.post-8808009445149640192009-03-21T01:03:00.000-07:002009-03-21T01:00:44.198-07:00How does a 12 year old start off a career as a fashion designer?live in washington DC and want some ideas on how to make it in the fashion business. i know how 2 sew. Sorry 4 asking this question again.

since 12 is probably too young to actually start a real career... and you already know how to sew, i would start making your own clothes and designs. i mean, actually sew it all and stuff. learn how to fit things on real bodies right and develop your own style.

by the time you are 18, you will have enough experience to show your skills... maybe apply for apprenticeship at a fashion house or something. you might have to be really good or have some connections, though.

oh.. and school! in college you should try a fashion or art institute to study trends and all that. try a major like textiles and fashion or something like that.
good luck
well you are going to need math to help fabic knowlege, colors, business oranization, time management, dead lines ask the store people that you would like to learn more on this and they will be able to help you with this.
good luck and dont be sorry for asking
start drawing all your ideas out in a book and carry it with you and that way when you think of a new ideas you can put it in their. then buy fabric then you can start make the clothes that are in your book. also if i were you i would get i would make it in someones size i knew then have them try it on a you can do touch ups on the outfit. if you want to be a fashion designer you can get a scolarship and have someone look at your desighns.
you could start of by tracing youre ideas on paper
you are to young trust me . You would have to be able to make a very nice dress and you would have to be very quick at making them. I also would like to start a fashion buissness i am 15 and hopefully that is what i will do. I can make a very nice dress in a week but that is pretty slow a plain dress takes a day or two.
Read fashion magazines to make yourself very familiar with the names of the designers and photographers. Look at the runway shows online, so that you know the difference between Chanel and Alexander McQueen. Try sewing clothing for yourself - first other people's patterns, and then figure out how to make a pattern yourself.
Take classes locally for amateurs, and apply to a design school when you finish high school. If you already know so much about design, you'll be way ahead of the curve.
Good luck!punightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6498047196906668380.post-58251566024566630892009-03-19T21:16:00.000-07:002009-03-19T21:13:26.702-07:00What do i need to study in college to become a fashion editor? What subjects do i have to study at college/school? Could you also describe the job of a fashion editor in a bit more detail and the things they do ect.

You have to learn learn and learn so you can be fashion editor.punightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6498047196906668380.post-1944041315048360632009-03-18T22:39:00.000-07:002009-03-18T22:37:49.659-07:00How much should I charge for my photography services for a fashion design student?I have some experience in photography and have being commissioned for a fashion design student to photograph her latest work for a university project. How muchh should I charge in AU$?

First you need to decide how your images are going to be used by the student. Is this purely for a personal/education related project or is this for commercial gain i.e. profit.

As a photographer you create images to make your clients profit (hopefully!). So never ever charge based upon time. It is a quick way to make less money than you should and raises all sorts of side issues like "why did it take so long?" from the client!

I wrote a long involved blog post about this which you may like to read here:

http://www.thephotographybiz.com/photography-business/dont-charge-out-your-photography-on-time/

Always charge commercial photography assignments based upon the *end use* of your images. If this is truly an educational shoot then agree a fee you feel comfortable with but remember to issue a licence with your invoice to show the rights being granted which should be restricted to "educational and personal use only" or similar.

Good luck with the shoot.

PP
$100 an hour.punightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6498047196906668380.post-5830510711823480262009-03-17T22:36:00.000-07:002009-03-17T22:34:10.224-07:00Where can I find Fashion Bug printable coupons or have them mailed to my house?I've heard that you can get great Fashion Bug coupons mailed to your home without having their credit card ($10 bonus coupons, etc.), but I've also heard that you have to have a land-line number for them to verify the address to mail it to. Anyone else out there know anything about this?

http://www.momsview.com/fashionbug.shtml
this is a web site that you can go to print coupons off ofpunightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6498047196906668380.post-55260365171809387582009-03-16T22:20:00.000-07:002009-03-16T22:17:49.971-07:00What kind of macbook does Parsons school of design require for Fashion students?I'm planning on applying to Parsons school of design (and a bunch of other art schools) for fashion design and I think they require their students to purchase a macbook. Just curious if anyone knows if it needs to be a pro or is a regular macbook fine and what the main differences are. I searched all over Parsons' site and couldn't find anything. Can anyone help?
Thanks!

it probably would matter on how much you would use it and if you want a small and compact one then go with the macbook air and if you want it to be big with more ram (speed) go with the Pro and if you want a bit of both go with the Macbook

you could also go to this site http://store.apple.com/us and check out with macbook would work such as if it fits you price limit, size, hard drive space, ram, screen size, and maybe even lookspunightgownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08286752660366081927noreply@blogger.com0
